Hypothesis Validation Tracker
The Hypothesis Validation Tracker helps you systematically test assumptions about user behavior and product decisions. By organizing hypotheses under research questions, defining what evidence you expect to find, and tracking what you actually discover, you can make data-driven decisions with confidence.
Key features
Research questions
Research questions are the big-picture questions your study aims to answer. They provide context and organization for your hypotheses. Examples include:
- "Why aren't engineering teams adopting the internal developer platform?"
- "How does the platform fit into developer workflows?"
- "Where do users struggle in the interface?"
Hypotheses
A hypothesis is a testable statement about user behavior or product performance. Good hypotheses are specific, measurable, and falsifiable. Each hypothesis links to a research question and includes:
- Hypothesis Statement: The core assumption you're testing
- Status: Where you are in validation (Untested → Testing → Supported/Refuted)
- Priority: How critical this hypothesis is (High/Medium/Low)
- Expected Evidence: What you predict you'll find if the hypothesis is true
- Actual Evidence: What you actually discovered through research
